FAQ

- Who can enter?

The Wires Global is open to any company in the digital marketing industry with category-relevant work to enter, including technology suppliers, marketers, media agencies, digital agencies, publishers and media owners, operating globally.

- What countries can I submit entries from?

The Wires Global accepts submissions from every country, across every region, globally.

- What timeframe must the work be from?

The results must have occurred between February 2023 and February 2024.

- Can I submit mutliple entries?

Yes. You can submit multiple entries to the same category and/or submit the same entry to multiple categories. You receive a discount for submitting mutiple entries. To apply the discount, you must submit and pay for all entries at the same time, in the same transaction. The discount is applied automatically.

- What makes a good entry?

The best entries provide a narrative, focusing on the core pillars of 'challenge, solution, results'. The entry template you are required to complete reflects these pillars, with variations, dependant on the category for which you are submitting an entry. Each field on the entry form is restricted by a word limit - remember, this is a limit, not a target. Our judges want to feel inspired, and are looking for a clear, concise narrative, with evidence of innovation and strong efficiency and performance gains.

- Am I required to submit supporting material?

No. However, if you do wish to share additional material, you have the option either to upload supporting documents, or share additional information via a URL. This is not mandatory and the judges are not required to include supporting materials in their judging.

- Can I view the entry template?

To view the entry forms for each of the categories, you will need to create an account. From there, you will be able to view all of the categories and their respective entry forms and requirements.

- Do I have to submit my entry form immediately?

No. Once you have created your account, you will be able to start the entry process, save your progress and come back at a later date to complete the submission.

- Why is there no APAC awards programme this year?

We have been delighted with the success of The Wires APAC over the past two years. However, this year we are calling for entries from all over the world, and encouraging our peers in APAC to submit their entries into The Wires Global awards programme. We have also included new regional categories, including APAC, to reward the best work in the APAC region specifically, with a reduced entry fee.

- What methods of payment are accepted?

The platform accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

- Can I pay in a different currency?

No. We can only accept payment in GBP (£). If you are unable to pay in this currency, please email awards@exchangewire.com

- Can I apply to be a judge?

The Wires Global judging panel is carefully selected by ExchangeWire, but if you would like to put yourself forward as a judge, please email awards@exchangewire.com.

- How will I know if my entry was successfully submitted and received?

After you have completed, submitted and paid for your entry, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please email awards@exchangewire.com.

- Can I make changes to my entry once it’s been submitted?

Our platform allows you to save your entry and return to make changes, before the need to submit it and pay. However, if you have submitted the entry and need to change or update it, as long as the deadline date has not passed, please email awards@exchangewire.com with your amendments.

- Can I withdraw my entry and will I get a refund?

ExchangeWire is not liable to issue refunds for the entry fee. If you need to withdraw your entry from a particular category, we will allow you to re-submit the entry (or in certain circumstances, a different entry) to a different category. This must all take place before the judging period. Please contact awards@exchangewire.com.

- What if I miss the deadline?

If you miss the early bird submission deadline, then you will be required to pay the standard entry fees. If you miss the final deadline, please email awards@exchangewire.com. All deadlines end at midnight BST (British Summer Time).

- When and how will you announce the shortlist?

If your entry has made it to the shortlist, you will be notified via email. Shortlists will also be published on exchangewire.com, as well as on social media platforms.

- Will my entry be made public?

No. The only portion of the entry, which will be made public, is the entering company and the campaign entry name. You will be asked to provide the names of any clients and/or partners who you would also like to credit for the entry. If you would like to keep them private, then please don't include their names. Your entry will only be viewed by the judges specifically assigned to judging it, and they will be required to sign an NDA before judging commences.

- What if the category I enter received no other applications?

In rare circumstances, a category may receive a very low volume of entries. In this instance, ExchangeWire reserves the right to move individual entries to another relevant category. The applicant will be informed of this, if the entry goes on to be shortlisted in the new category.

- What if my company, partner or competitor has a judge on the panel?

ExchangeWire allocates judges to entries and categories very carefully, to allow/account for any potential conflicts of interest. Judges are also asked to recuse themselves from judging certain entries, where a conflict of interest may exist.

- When and how will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at a dedicated awards ceremony in London, United Kingdom on Thursday, 9 November 2023.

- How can I buy a table to the awards ceremony?

Please contact Anne-Marie Sheedy to enquire about buying tables.

- What do I receive if I win?

All winners will receive a signature The Wires star trophy, which will be presented to them at the awards ceremony. We will announce the winners in media coverage on exchangewire.com and via social media platforms. Winners will also receive a banner for use in email signatures, etc. Winners will be able to order additional trophys at a cost.
